This is a simple basic friction type with a very lightweight peg that weighs approximately 0.4 oz (11 g) per piece. The cones (tapered nylon washers) are stored inside the metal cup to disperse the pressure caused by tightening the screw, resulting in an extremely smooth rotation with less resistance.
